Project Description

Hamel Contracting’s attention to detail and quality throughout this entire project did not go unnoticed by Cathedral City High School, which is why Cathedral City High School spared no expense to show the rest of the world at their pool dedication ceremony. The event was live-broadcast on local news stations, Coachella, CBS Local Channel 2, and Channel 3, an ABC news affiliate.

The entire project was massive, and consisted of construction of a new swimming pool, support building, bleachers, shade structure, scoreboard, and site lighting. The competition pool is approximately 130 feet by 75 feet, which is large enough to allow two water polo teams to practice simultaneously, making it easier for schools to share the facility. The swimming pool was constructed of braced stainless steel panels with welded seams PVC liner.
