Project Description

Constructing while Raymond Cree Middle School was in session, required constant communication and a deep understanding of what the school required in order to continue operating. The build consisted of the ground-up conventional construction of a new classroom addition to a new building containing 9 classrooms, boys’ and girls’ restroom and a staff restroom. The relocation of existing 9 portable classrooms as interim housing was overseen until the project was completed. In addition, Hamel Contracting relied on its knowledge and experience in modern construction to do a full electrical service upgrade to make the school more energy efficient.
